The Serra da Estrela mountains in Northern Portugal are truly beautiful. I felt really at home there, supposedly this is a region which is meant for Pisceans along with the Sahara desert and a few other places across the world. I don’t know if this is true but it certainly felt right for a Piscean like me. I stayed in an old palace in Neo-Manueline style called Buçaco, waking up there was unforgettable with the mist and forests, the view going on for what seemed like eternity.
I spent my mid teens living between Lisbon and Amsterdam. What I remember about Portugal, uhm, walking along Avenida Liberdad at night, the gothic churches, all day on the beaches going out towards Cascais. I lived in the Alfama district, a maze of alleyways, even though it was in Portugal I always felt I was in somewhere like Kinshasa, hard to describe.
